@timdavies_uk @spicco05 Been a 'petrol head' for 45 yrs, modified cars, vans and engines throughout and still do. But... I just bought a Tesla, its seriously fast with a no nonsense impressive power delivery, with more to like. Impressed so far, I may change my mind but I doubt it...

@GardenerFliss Went to dampen down my compost bin the other day and there is a big Bumble Bee nest in there. The whole thing is literally humming. Guess I'll be leaving that 'bee' this year 😉

If you invented a machine that:

- Runs on grass
- Produces high-quality protein
- Fertilises soil while operating
- Builds topsoil
- Requires zero electricity
- Self-replicates
- Provides 100+ byproducts (leather, tallow, gelatin, etc.)

You'd win every environmental award.

We call it a cow and want to ban it.

Genius.

Nearly 2000 years ago, the Romans undertook a daring project: to channel fresh spring water over 60km through the rugged terrain of North Africa to the thriving city of Carthage.....

This endeavor resulted in the construction of the Aqueduct of Carthage, a remarkable feat of ancient engineering that stretches over 130 kilometers from the Zaghouan spring to the city's center. The aqueduct expertly navigated hills, wound through hidden tunnels, and soared on majestic stone arches, providing a vital water supply during the intense heat—all while relying solely on gravity and exceptional craftsmanship without any pumps.

This incredible structure guaranteed a steady flow of water to Carthage’s public fountains and catered to the opulent Baths of Antoninus, where luxury, hygiene, and social interaction flourished. Although it has endured the destruction of wars and earthquakes that have affected its structure, remnants of this aqueduct still stand today—serving as a powerful reminder that the true legacy of an empire lies not only in its military achievements but also in its significant contributions to the welfare of its people.
