@ill_Scholar I've just seen who you are via the Graham Hancock link, with your interest in Ireland I'm surprised you haven't picked up on the Knockmany passage tomb in County Tyrone in Ireland being linked to Pharaoh Menes! Look it up! Also the story on Scotia in Co.Kerry!
@drorfh@ill_Scholar @SimonMcGlynn4 But yet their ancestors, the stock from the original 1600s Ulster plantation settlers- 100 years later became the very first Irish Republicans (Wolfe Tone, Henry Joy McCracken) & Proud in their new Irishness & fought British Rule in the 1798 rebellion
@ill_Scholar @SimonMcGlynn4 Not necessarily, it can also be an identity crisis&not all protestants identify as British exclusively, there are some that are happy to be Irish or both. Look at the N.Ireland football logo they support "IRISH Football Assoc" also Irish iconography (Gaelic Red Hand. Shamrocks)
@DaroniusS85133@Ironmuff1888@ill_Scholar A made up fantasy to legitimise the migrant Ulster plantation of the 1600s with what became to be the 'Scots Irish' onto the then most Gaelic of Irish provinces. Also the same Scots Irish 200 yrs later formed Irish Republicanism! How ironic! (Wolfe Tone, Henry Joy McCracken)
@CMacdhughaill@ill_Scholar Ulster from the Irish "Uladh" and one of the 4 Gaelic provinces of Ireland (originally 5) once the most Gaelic of provinces that Elizabeth I tried to dilute with the migrant a Ulster plantation in 1600s with Protestant loyal subjects from North England and lowland Scotland!!
@chuumaz@ill_Scholar Yet the same so called Uls-Scot people today. Relatives even of the men of '98, were very proud of their 'Irishness' of the 1798 rebellion, despite being migrant stock themselves, just over 100 yrs before! & formed Irish republicanism to fight the Red Coats of the British Empire🙄
@chuumaz@ill_Scholar What Ulstermen you speak of?The native Ulster Gaels (Irish) who have been there for thous of yrs? Or the Planted peoples (Scots Irish/Ulster Scots) who originally, ironically formed Irish Republicanism! (Wolfe Tone, Henry Joy McCracken) Proclaimed Irishness to fight the British
Scarva- A village in County Down on the County Armagh border - The name "Scarva": from the Irish language- "Scarbhach" meaning "shallow place, rough ford" #scarva#County#Down
@Rouie66818 Irish "Loyalists" are a different breed, if the other side said they like S.Korea they'd say they like N.Korea. Absolute crap, regardless of fatalities in past in their own ranks.
