your critique of ai cannot be entrenched in aesthetics because there will be a time when you see an ai image or hear an ai song and think "that looks/sounds good". your critique of ai must always be entrenched in the poisonous effect it has on people's brains and the planet.
Something that radicalised me was learning that the "carbon footprint" concept was popularised by the fossil fuel industry to shift public focus on climate change towards individual consumers n their lifestyle instead of at the corporations that are knowingly destroying the earth
I don’t mean to sound melodramatic but do y’all ever think about how humanity used to navigate the world by the stars and now people can’t make a grocery list without help from AI.
They didn’t call it “Sentinel” or “Guardian.”
They called it “Flock.”
As in: something you herd, track, count, and keep from wandering off the reservation.
They see us as livestock.
Zero respect.
In 30-50 years, summer in most of Europe and the US will be unsurvivable without AC, deep basements or a total redesign of every home (insulation, cooling pipes through walls and roof etc). That's if the food is still growing that keeps you alive in the first place
