US Republicans are trying to pass a bill that would require foreign piracy sites to be banned.

Sites found guilty of piracy for TV shows, movies, anime, sports, books, software, and more would be universally banned in the US, not even accessible by VPN.

IGN made a whole article about Sony's downfall that should be studied, they didn't get the check, or they're just tired of Sony's bullshit.

Basically what they argued is what normal people thinks:

Physical music is making a big comeback in the U.S. and sony wants to end it all with playstation discs

>In the first half of 2026, CD sales revenue jumped 58.6%, while vinyl revenue grew 17.7%.
>Overall, revenue from physical music increased 25.9%.

Streaming is still much bigger, with $4.9 billion during the same period, up 4.7%.

The growth in CDs and vinyl shows that people are still interested in actually owning their music, maybe Sony will change their mind if people keep showing interest

SONY is sending out emails updating and reminding people of their PlayStation terms. short version what it says:

- You don't own your digital games, you rent a license
- If a account closed or banned your games are gone, even paid ones
- PlayStation can record your chats, clips, ip address
- Clips you share, they can sell and put ads on and you get no cut
- their liability is capped at £100! This means if Sony screws something up and it costs you money, the most they'll pay you back is £100, no matter how much you actually lost
