They should act with justice and recognise the truth. The Promised Messiah (as) came for the reformation of faith. It has now been over 130 years, and Allah’s support is still evident. Through prayers and divine revelations, signs were shown in support of the Promised Messiah (as). Some recognised the truth through dreams—some even saw the Holy Prophet (sa) himself affirming that the Promised Messiah (as) is indeed the one. Righteous saints like Gulab Shah Sahib and Nimatullah Wali foretold his coming. So many have entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat—is this not a powerful sign of his truthfulness?

Divine Signs in Favour of the Promised Messiah (as)

Therefore, Allah has given many signs in favour of the Promised Messiah (as). He was told by Allah that those who try to defame or humiliate him will themselves be humiliated—and that is exactly what happened. Many opponents rose against him and failed. Is this not a great sign? The Promised Messiah (as) said many signs were fulfilled: some ill were cured, some opponents were humiliated, and some even died.

The Signs of the Latter Days in the Holy Qur’an

“And when books are spread abroad” (81:11)
This foretells a time when publications and literature will be widely circulated—a powerful sign of the Latter Days.

“And when the stars are obscured” (81:3)
The ‘stars’ symbolise the scholars of the Ummah. Even now, their light has faded, and they no longer guide as they once did.

These are clear signs that the age requires a divinely appointed Reformer.

The Latter Days and the Need for a Reformer

“And the sun and the moon are brought together” (75:10)
“When the sun is wrapped up” (81:2) These verses point to a time when darkness will veil the teachings of the Holy Prophet (sa). His light will be obscured in the latter days.

“And when the beasts are gathered together” (81:6)
People will become beastly, and their morals will decline. In the name of intellectualism and modern thinking, society is embracing immorality. Such a time demands a Reformer.

Islam will not spread through the sword or force—it will spread through love and the beauty of its teachings. The Holy Prophet (sa) only lifted the sword in self-defence.
