my mother tongue is brazilian portuguese and i love the difference in the rhythm of speaking of each state. it’s like each of them carry their own “music” 🎶✨😅

@vuorille hahah okay, nice! so at first i thought it could be something similar to “vai catar coquinhos” in portuguese. it’s basically a polite way of saying “fuck off”😅.

@KateMcGonigall interesting! yeah, i can imagine. even tho they’re very similar since both are romance languages, they can also have some good confusing differences 😅. but it’s for sure a nice challenge!

@TheNerdOlive YES! that makes a lot of sense! some concepts are too specific to compare with just any other word in a different language. my notes will also be in any language that matches the concept the most in the moment haha

@BrunUgle tbh it’s also such a nice way of forcing or training our mind to think >in the target language< without intentional associations. love it! :)

@BrunUgle oh wow! yes, that’s even more interesting! like a deep immersion directly, right? apart from the immersion, one can also find really nice resources in the most authentic way, since they don’t really consider the language barriers. nice!! :)
