This is Valdas Dambrauskas in 2000, participating in Lithuanian edition of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’.

He was just a student that never played professional football.

The money he won allowed him to go to England and attend multiple coaching courses. He managed to gain early experience at clubs like Manchester United, Fulham and Brentford.

In 2007, he got a job at ninth-tier English side Kingsbury London Tigers and eventually led them to the best result in their history.

He got 12 different managerial jobs afterwards, mainly in Baltic countries. There was some impressive local success, but there were also heartbreaks on his path.

This year, he won domestic double with Azerbaijani side Sabah, despite Qarabag being firm favourites.

Today, he led Sabah to the league phase of the Champions League for the first time in their history. 🏆

Liam Delap and Joshua Zirkzee signed for Chelsea and Manchester United,

Neither have been brilliant, but Zirkzee has undoubtedly been far more effective than Delap.

Yet Delap will be sold for a £15m profit the second he’s available, while United will make a substantial loss on Zirkzee, and probably not have any suiters for a permanent move for at least another 12 months.

Yes, United’s recruitment and ability to sell players should be questioned, but the way others are able to effortlessly move in the transfer market while we seem to be continuously handicapped also seems very odd at times.

When Rooney won the league in 2011, they gave the award to Van Persie who played for a trophyless Arsenal team that finished 4th with 68 points. Was that also an agenda against Arsenal? Or against United?

Then Van Persie joined United and actually won the league AND the golden boot in 2013 (along with 10 assists—highest in the league was Mata with 13). They decided to give the award to Bale who played for a Spurs team that finished 5th (he had 4 less goals and less assists than RVP). Was that an agenda against United?

When RVN won the league AND the golden boot in 2003, they gave the award to Henry who played for an Arsenal team that finished 2nd. Agenda against Arsenal? Or United?

Tiptoed down a rabbit hole and into the Indian caste system and I’m shook. India created a rigid 2000+ year hierarchy where your birth determines everything. Brahmins (priests/scholars) at top, then Kshatriyas (warriors), Vaishyas (merchants), Shudras (laborers) and Dalits below all, the “oppressed”, they were treated inhumanly. You simply couldn’t escape your caste no matter what you did, you had to marry in your caste, roles, education, jobs and social status all predetermined. It’s been officially made illegal since 1950 but it still runs their society.
