David Adjmi's STEREOPHONIC at Playwrights Horizon @phnyc is truly epic, a fantastic night of theatre (with some great songs as well). It's the type of show where you keep the playbill because ALL the performers (and creators) are going to have extraordinary careers. And that set!
2/2 This is a riveting reflection on the minefield of the collaborative creative process and the toll that shifting interpersonal dynamics can take on it. A stone-cold stunner not to be missed. At @phnyc through Dec. 17
David Adjmi’s brilliant STEREOPHONIC depicts a ‘70s band laboring in the studio over a follow-up to their smash debut album. Think Fleetwood Mac recording “Rumors,” but that’s just the bass line of a volatile drama of clashing artistic temperaments, egos & insecurities 1/2
@dadjmi STEREOPHONIC deserves every bit of praise it receives. Congratulations on your brilliant new work. I was transfixed from beginning to end. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Theater Review: ‘Stereophonic,’ by David Adjmi, with music by Will Butler, at Playwrights Horizons in New York City, is a superb immersion in the art of collaborative creation. https://t.co/D9E9ZaUNkO
Truly dark miserable times (not even fully excited yet about my favorite holiday/the candy holiday), but a bright spot is the buzz tonight for the triumph that is Stereophonic. So happy for @dadjmi and the team. 👏👏👏
