NEW - Premier Ford has billed taxpayers more than $44K over eight years despite claiming he has "Zero expenses"
Last week, the Premier said he's "The only Premier in the history of this province that has a zero expense account" In fact he's billed $44,395

Two years ago, the Ford government abruptly shuttered the Ontario Science Centre (OSC), claiming the roof was at risk of imminently collapsing. This past winter, it withstood the biggest single-day snowfall in Toronto's history.
The Province is now moving forward with a plan to build a smaller $1.4 billion OSC at Ontario Place. Nothing about that plan requires the former OSC site to sit empty. The building should be reopened and reimagined to serve a growing community in Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park, along with our entire city and region.
That’s why I, working with Save Ontario's Science Centre, Moriyama Teshima Architects and local Councillor Jon Burnside, held consultations directly in Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park, and with people across Toronto, to hear their vision for the future of the site. This week, we're bringing a report to City Council with that community vision and recommended next steps toward reopening.
Torontonians' priorities were clear. Keep the site public. Ensure it remains a place of learning and discovery. Protect access to the ravine and preserve the building's architecture and heritage. Most importantly, ensure it serves the surrounding communities needs and provides all Ontarians a public institution again that contributes to their quality of life.
This report recommends a process that brings the Province together with the City, the federal government, the TRCA, and community and philanthropic partners to determine the site's future use, governance, and funding.
To be successful, the province needs to come to the table in good faith. We're giving them the opportunity to do exactly that, with a realistic, positive, community-grounded vision to support.

A Friday night blow to Premier Doug Ford’s Billy Bishop plans: the federal government has rejected Ontario’s proposal to expand the island airport.
87,000 people weighed in during public consultations and raised a “range of issues” including transportation, economics, environmental protection, noise, housing & quality of life.
NEW: Doug Ford railed against his own MPPs for claiming hotel stays in downtown Toronto, telling them they'd all have to pay it back.
The thing is, it was actually the government that told them to use the perk in an email last year. #Onpoli

On Friday, Stan Cho said he "did not stop to ask how it would look to a person in my riding working a double shift."
Today we learned it wasn't just $16,000 in hotels. It was nearly $100,000 more in steak dinners, Blue Jays suites and limousines, billed to his riding association, every receipt filed as a "meeting."
He never stopped.
This is the culture Doug Ford built. A Premier who wanted a $30 million private jet for himself has no standard to hold his ministers to, and they know it.
The people funding all of this are working the double shifts Stan Cho only mentions on the way out the door.
To everyone who has supported the PC Party with their donation or their vote: you gave them your trust and your money. They spent both on themselves.
You deserve better. I hope I can earn your trust to deliver an NDP government that respects taxpayers and makes your life more affordable.

BREAKING:
Doug Ford's Gravy Plane - which he sold to Chartright - was just chartered for a flight to the UK... to the exact same airport where Vic Fedeli is attending an airshow.
That's right - it appears that the Ford government is still using the $29M gravy plane!!!
Since @fordnation became Premier, MPP expenses have increased by 31%.
Have our school budgets increased by 31%?
Have hospital budgets increased by 31%?
Have ODSP and OW rates increased by 31%?
Has minimum wage increased by 31%?
Argentina are the only team out of all 48 participants not to have a single VAR intervention against them, despite committing the most fouls in the tournament. Do you even realize how insane that is?

Who has time to take private jets to the US for photo ops?
This POS @fordnation@CBCNews@ctvqp
FFS Ford refused to issue evacuation orders! This is shameful and downright monstrous! We decry his dangerous and terrible leadership on The OShow and I call for @fordnation to RESIGN https://t.co/6AvgaHiJy8 #Onpoli#Cndpoli
Who does Doug Ford think he is fooling?
@fordnation’s office went from $2.7m in 2018 to $8.1m in 2025.
Those costs are just for the staff on the Sunshine List (+$100k)
During the same time, the number of Premier’s staff on the Sunshine List went from 20 to 49.
Give us a break
Yesterday this was within the rules.
Today it's "totally unacceptable."
What changed?
We all found out about it.
Repayment is a start.
Now the receipts: which hotels, which nights, why.
And the nearly $200,000 taxpayers ate on his jet gets paid back too.
Don’t forget that Ford in 2019, slashed the Ontario Forest Firefighting base budget by 67% (a reduction of approximately $142 million) Then, in 2025, it was another $42 million cut. It’s almost as if the man is an incompetent oaf, incapable of making good decisions.
When Cape Verde started taking control, every major decision suddenly went Argentina’s way.
When Egypt looked ready to go three goals clear, the referee found a reason to wipe one off.
When Switzerland threatened to complete the turnaround, a Swiss player was conveniently sent off.
You can look away all you want, but the pattern is becoming impossible to ignore. The favouritism is glaring, and the stench of corruption is everywhere.
The list of damage caused by the Ford govt since 2018 is long. But, without a doubt the worst thing @fordnation has done to date is pass legislation to restrict FOI access allowing him to work in complete secrecy without any accountablity. That's not democracy. It is corruption.
When Rob Ford died, Doug Ford, the executor to his will withheld the money Rob left to Renata and his kids. She had to take Doug to court and fight for what was rightfully hers. That’s how much of a dick Doug Ford is. Many of us who’ve been on this site for a long time remember.
No charges. No public updates. No end in sight.
The RCMP's Greenbelt investigation has reached the 1,000-day mark, and remains "ongoing."
Opposition is accusing the Ford government of "learning nothing" & continuing "backroom deals" as probe drags on.
