It created a protected, remedial category for females to correct their historical, structural exclusion from sports.

@zaelefty I think it's true to state that *some* trans-identification is driven by this disgust with one's sexed body, but there are certainly other drivers. This then leads to the logical conclusion that trans-identification is a symptom of an, rather than *the*, underlying seminal issue.

@lorigzowski @roddreher @sullydish Perhaps he is in the literal, traditional definition of the word, but he isn't "queer" in the academic sense, nor in the popular radical manifestation of it. Most gays aren't "queer" even if that word is used interchangeably with "gay" in a given conversation.
