This question has been bothering me: is it that kids "can't" learn online/Distance Learning, or is it more of a case of learning HOW to learn in a different way? I grow so tired of hearing complaints that kids "can't" when we all know they "can" given time and scaffolding.
Start by avoiding a sense of finality in grading. As student (and educator) mental health becomes a priority, find ways to increase flexibility, support, and an attitude of continuous improvement. @edutopia@edtech4change https://t.co/ofQQZ9gje6
For every 1-min you worry about "academic dishonesty" in remote learning, spend 5 min redesigning the assessment itself so you don't set kids up for failure by allowing today's 'pressure' to choose for them; they can only copy that which is copyable. #ATAssessment#sblchat#atplc
A reminder today that engagement in the classroom is more than just students plugging away at problems. Sometimes it looks like them investing&helping each other. Sometimes it looks like a 10 minute pause to figure out if one of them is an imposter or a crew member #AmongUs
@cherylhtchu@3BlockModelUDL@cherylhtchu This book and the sessions with Jennifer were a key turning point for me. I too am so grateful to have been introduced to her work!
@mary_ng This is so disappointing. We must do better. Time to be uncomfortable and stop being a bystander to this hatred. Check your privilege Mr Asthma.
