@Demo_Mamba2K Yes players didn’t deliver but that doesn’t absolve the manager. Did the infield decide to play in with one out on their own? Ball went off the glove there. Let’s not act like the manager has no impact.

[Tom Dwyer @traceoptions]

@ChiSoxFanMike Bases loaded & 1 out and the infield is in? Corners in and middle at DP depth allows either a DP or at least an out. Ball goes off the glove. Next AB same defensive alignment and a line drive that would have been caught by the infield goes into the OF.

@Peter_Bukowski @GBJanuaryy TO thinks it’s on DJ.

That interception was NOT on Caleb!! What in THE HELL was the receiver thinking/doing?!!! #NFCDivisional @bears @RamsNFL

Why do some networks keep working when there is a failure, but others stop completely?

This is about high availability in network design.

Many engineers think high availability means just adding backup links. But it is more than that. It is about how fast the network can detect a failure, how it reacts, and how much of the network is affected.

A good design should make sure the problem stays small. It should not affect the whole network.

We use things like BFD, FRR, CoPP, Carrier-delay, debounce-timers, ECMP, Graceful Restart etc. and design techniques that limit failure impact. But the most important thing is the design decisions—not the features.

For example, just adding extra links without thinking can create loops or make the network slower to recover.

High availability is not just about adding more. It is about designing smarter.

If you're preparing for the CCDE or working as a network designer, these are the things you need to think about.

Multicast isn’t dead, in fact, it’s essential for networks that need to efficiently deliver the same data to many receivers.

Whether it's live video streaming, financial market data, IPTV, or replication in data centers, multicast allows you to scale without wasting bandwidth.

When combined with MPLS (like mVPN), it becomes even more powerful, enabling service providers and large enterprises to deliver multicast across complex, multi-tenant environments.

For network engineers, understanding multicast means:

-- More efficient designs
-- Better traffic engineering
-- The ability to support real-time, high-bandwidth services

If you want to build a solid foundation in both IP and MPLS multicast, Orhan Ergun’s IP and MPLS Multicast course: https://t.co/HqNIM6eUMc is one of the best ways to learn it, real-world focused, deeply technical, and incredibly relevant.

@JamesFox917 @BWalker108 Montini hasnt been rolling over everyone during the playoffs. Byron lost on the last play by one point. Princeton played tough the whole game. Willmington was a bigger team. Their offense is all bunch w zero passing. They would have been rolled by Byron or Princeton.

[Tom Dwyer @traceoptions]

@JamesFox917 @BWalker108 So no private schools should play in state. So they should get bumped to to what lockports division. Got it. Interesting take from the guy who works at a high school massive enough to have a separate freshman campus.

[Tom Dwyer @traceoptions]

@JamesFox917 @BWalker108 They usually sit between 400-500 students. They got kicked up in the past due to multipliers. Montini is a small school.
