What a fantastic day at the Disability Awareness Day in Warrington today. 5 of our service users performed Sing & Sign which was very emotional. I feel so privileged to be able to work with such amazing people - I feel like a proud mum ❤️ #DisabilityAwarenessDay

What a fantastic end to LD week, we had a Qigong session this morning (Google it) and this afternoon we had Sing & Sign & then a dance class with DanceSyndrome, wow what a week! Our service users have had such fun as have the staff. #LDWeek2023

Great to see that all of the @Mersey_Care estates and comms teams’ hard work to engage so well with our service users has been recognised. This will be a fantastic facility to support great care for people who require low secure learning disability services to a life beyond care.

We had a blip this am, no power so our Psychology session had to be postponed 🙁 We had a treasure hunt around the grounds which was great & then another one of our wards ran an activity. Last day of LD week tomorrow, a ward activity and then Sing & Sign & dancing! What a week

We had a wonderful activity this morning with our fab student Nurse Hannah, the service users drew around their hands and wrote something that they will miss about the hospital or grateful for. This pm we had seated exercise session, great fun! I love my job! #LDWeek2023

What a great start to LD Week, our 1st session was myth busting, followed by bingo based on Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence, this afternoon we had an ex service user talk to us about his paid job for an NHS Trust, busting the myth that people with LD can’t work #LDWeek2023
