What is Altseason?
Crypto moves in two seasons:
- Bitcoin Season
- Altcoin Season
Bitcoin Season:
- Bitcoin dominance rises as money flows out of altcoins and into Bitcoin. Altcoins, in general, will lose value against Bitcoin. - New money mainly enters Bitcoin, while altcoins lose dominance.
Altcoin Season:
- Bitcoin dominance drops as money rotates into altcoins. - New money flows into alts, boosting alt dominance and sending the total altcoin market cap parabolic.
We can see on the chart below that in almost all stages of each cycle, it's Bitcoin season, and Altcoins will perform poorly compared to Bitcoin.
1. Bitcoin bear? Bitcoin season.
2. Bitcoin bottom? Bitcoin season.
3. Bitcoin's initial leg up? Bitcoin season.
4. Bitcoin pumps to old cycle highs? Bitcoin season.
5. Bitcoin breaks into new highs? Bitcoin season.
6. Historically, Altseason starts only after Bitcoin's first breakout to new highs, followed by consolidation. Then, when Bitcoin pushes higher again, altcoin season starts, and Bitcoin dominance drops.

Almost 1 year since the halving, bitcoin red dots are turning orange (and then yellow): entering the 2nd stage of the bull market, the steep FOMO stage.๐

Manwhile, liquidity is rising:
- US money supply up 3.9% YoY
- Stablecoins at all-time highs
- $6B+ inflows to BTC ETFs in two weeks
Thatโs when I look for strength and buy dips ๐

How I Approach Market Panic
Market sell-offs are just noise.
The real story? The same cycle, over and over.
Yesterday, #UStariffs were to blame.
Last week, it was #DeepSeek.
Before that, the #FOMC.

๐ Hereโs Why Iโm Still Bullish:
- New investors, this is nothing. We've seen worse corrections several times in prior cycles
- February is historically strong
- BTC has been green 10/12 times in February
- Post-halving? Never red
- ETH? 7/8 green, same pattern
The number of states ๐บ๐ธ introducing #Bitcoin reserve bills has increased to 19, with new states such as #Oregon, #NewJersey, #Mississippi, and #Indiana
At this rate, the whole map will eventually turn orange this year.
