@LuvlyMarsh I agree w/ others who say it’s mostly luck. But it’s also a willingness to be vulnerable. Met my bf on an app, now dating a year and living together. He ignored societal cues for men to play it cool/wait 3 days and just told me how he felt right after our 1st date. I loved that.
@MattZeitlin@leylaaa31 Having lived in Philly for years, one thing I can tell you is that people often smoke on the subway. It would happen almost every time I rode the El. But something being commonly done doesn’t make it okay. Making the people around you uncomfortable is the opposite of community!

I understand losing a parent and/or having parental trauma but I also think an email, or a barista saying “happy Mother’s Day/happy Father’s Day” without malice shouldn’t send people into a tailspin.
