@Caonum@baselessassert If you’re referring to heme iron, the human body does not need heme iron. It’s just a form of iron that’s easier to absorb. If you eat plenty of iron, which vegetarians likely do since they eat beans, it’s a non issue.
@Caonum@baselessassert An omnivore can eat both, he doesn’t need both. Vegetarian humans tend to live longer on average. That fact may be impacted by other things— like vegetarians being richer on average— but If meat were a dietary requirement, people who don’t eat it would die much sooner.
