In September, Jessica Holden and her three children (ages 2, 3, and 11) were wrongfully and violently evicted from their home in Charlotte and forced to leave nearly everything they owned behind.

Despite Jessica’s name being on the lease, a judge granted the landlord an eviction order based on an outdated lease that did not have Jessica’s name on it. Charlotte pigs broke into Jessica’s home with their guns drawn and aimed at her, eventually dragging her to the ground and tasing her at least 7 times as she begs them to just put the cuffs on her. Jessica’s children were forced to watch the pigs brutalize their mother, including her 11 year-old son, Josiah, who bravely recorded the entire thing.

Jessica and her children are now desperately trying to find a new place to live, and because the judge decided to accept an old lease and support the lie that she wasn’t a resident in her own home, she is now barred from entering and collecting her family’s belongings.
