Your train takes you across the Mainland, but the useful stuff is rarely sitting right beside the tracks. Explore abandoned locations, search them for resources and lost technology, and see what the mycelium has done to everything the dwarves left behind.

A proper steam engine requires more advanced technology than your crew starts with. Until the LAB gets you there, your train runs on pure dwarfpower.

Pick a volunteer, put them in the hamster wheel and hit the rails! 🚂

The LAB aboard your train is the heart of your expedition. Bring back data cassettes from the Mainland to unlock and research advanced tools, machines and structures your crew will need to survive the road ahead.

Playing with dollhouses is a very respectable dwarven profession.

In Trainfort, the "dollhouse system" lets you build full-sized houses through their miniatures. Craft construction pieces at your workbench, then arrange them on a pedestal as the full-sized structure rises before you. 🏠

Daylight is for exploring, crafting, setting up defenses and arguing over who hoarded all the food rations. At night, zombie swarms come to test your work. 🧟

Hold the line at camp or pile aboard the train and fight on the move — what’s the plan, lads?

In Trainfort, we wanted even simple jobs to feel physical. Each mouse button controls one hand, letting you pick things up, move them around and swing tools yourself. No digging through clunky menus — just you, your backpack and your tools.
