@HabMaz294467 @Civixplorer Bro, I used to live in one of those small rooms in 5 Kilo where we'd carry waste water in buckets to dump it. While I do dislike the new "not-lived-in" feel of some of the neighborhoods, I'd much rather have that than human waste everywhere.

@qebenna @Civixplorer Yeah, but you can't really argue Piassa (and Mercato, Cherkos, etc.) need massive redevelopment work. I used to live around the 5 Kilo area and we had to carry our waste water in buckets along a small street and across a road to dump it. Outskirts are much better.

@SebihatuKiflom @tamene_samuel Yes, having the geographical advantage in the world's most important shipping canal helps. For Ethiopia to get to the $10 billion figure, it had to produce and export every penny of that. I expect that to reach ~$30 billion in less than 4 years tho.

@heyab_ @Landoforigins Also, the city is full of gulf tourists right now. Thousands, and I mean thousands, of tourists from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kuwait, etc., are here to escape the heat and they're spending their dollars all over the city and beyond. That's tourism too, no?
