I feel like the entire left in Canada didn't think twice about trying to destroy my life and have me fired from my job and about libeling me with the participation of the media for years. Jason Arday DID fabricate his entire life and also plagiarize his work. The fact this was reported on is NORMAL. His death is tragic, but acting as though he was murdered by accurate media coverage is... insane.

People went through much worse as a result of cancel culture—their lives well and truly destroyed because they said or reported on true things about politicized stories connected to 'racism,' about trans activism, about Covid, about sex and gender, or for simply making a joke or comment determined to not be 'politically correct'.

There were men's lives who were destroyed in extremely brutal ways because of #metoo accusations that turned out to be baseless, but that no one was allowed to ask questions about.

People were libeled, ostracized, fired, threatened, tormented, bullied, and attacked just for having opinions or saying things or being in places or being friends with people that leftists didn't like.

At no point has the left given one single shit about media/social media targeting, bullying, hounding or distortions AND THAT'S NOT EVEN WHAT HAPPENED HERE.

In truth, the left demands inaccurate reporting to suit their preferred ideologies and narratives. They want misinformation, lies, and distortions. They want to ruin people's reputations who aren't on their "side," politically. They actually don't care if lies are told about people they don't like if the result is that those people's reputations are destroyed. To them, these are "noble lies," because they destroy a person guilty of wrongthink—a person who failed to get in line and bow down to the ideological demands of progressives and their nonsense mantras. The danger, to these people, is people who use their own brains. Those people must be destroyed.

Beyond all that, the left celebrates the deaths of those they deem political opponents. You say, "he deserved it." Because you didn't like his views or politics.

This captures my initial gut reaction to the news that Arday an-heroed himself. Goblins espousing his ideology were responsible for career destruction of good men on a vast scale. There were a few high profile cancellations everyone heard of, but for every one of those there were dozens of white male professors who were ruined that no one ever heard of, and for every one of THOSE there were dozens more early career scholars, grad students and postdocs, who didn't even get cancelled, but whose careers were cut short because "it's very important that the department's next hire be a woman". You absolutely never heard of those cases, because they had nothing to report. There was no sturm und drang, just a graveyard silence when they submitted job applications, and the crushing gravitational pull of depression that sucked them into a mire of self doubt.

How many of them committed suicide? It isn't zero.

Fuck Jason Arday. The only thing that bothers me about his death is that the simpering mediocrities who hired him haven't yet followed his example.

Just think of all the ordinary, boring, and incontrovertible things you cannot, on the other hand, stay at work.

In most workplaces, you can probably hang a Black Lives Matter flag or a pride flag at your cubicle and this kind of explicitly political statement will almost certainly be tolerated.

There’s just no equivalent. No equivalent at all. We live in a progressive culture. The institutions are progressive, the law is progressive, the media you consume is progressive.
