You’ll miss the old stadium every time you visit the new one, the gloss and excitement of the first few games fades pretty quickly, Tottenham fans aren’t growing to love the new ground they’re growing out of love, there’s been no attempt, after 6 years of lobbying, to improve the atmosphere and to move vocal fans back together, all atmosphere initiatives are visual, to, in the words of a Director “make the bowl look atmospheric even when it is not” - Every decision starts and ends on ROI, vocal fans, safe standing, moving fans doesn’t happen as they can’t see the ROI. The concourses feel like an airport terminal, the place is rocking 2-3 times a season, when it’s great, it’s unbelievable, but the standard atmosphere is half what it was, more importantly, the camaraderie and spontaneity has gone. Your football experience will change forever, the only positive is like spurs fans, you’ll be in the same area, same pubs, often the same people.
A trip to Tottenham for Jay-Z yesterday reinforced what I already knew: I'd rather have a stadium with soul than perfect facilities. Shiny concourses and food options are nice, but football is about the match and the atmosphere. Once that character is gone, it's gone forever…
@paramkhurana98@sja_98 With respect, it’s not our job to educate you on English or Italian fan culture. Maybe research this yourself & you’ll understand
Well good luck to you both, perhaps you can achieve what none of the other groups - all made up of generational, match going supporters with vast experience of Old Trafford, Utd’s match going support and all of the intricacies and requirements that need to be met for a successsful boycott - have been able to do.
We’re always open to workable ideas based in reality so if you come up with a plan that fits that description, please share it with us
@paramkhurana98@sja_98 OK Param from Vancouver, we’ll bite: Explain to us your master plan for preventing almost 80,000 people from entering Old Trafford. Don’t be shy, describe in as much detail as you like how this is to be achieved. 🍿
I don’t ever ask for anything on this platform, but please, please take the time to read Harry’s words in the repost and then repost this, or @stephenblevins9 post, so it gets the attention it really deserves.
I’ve known Harry for around 20 years, and I genuinely can’t tell you what a great lad he is. I’d like to say we’ve helped each other out equally over the years, but if I’m being honest, there’s no doubt he’s done far more for me than I have for him.
I sent him a voice message this morning, asking him not to give up after he had emailed me, and telling him that we’ll find a way to support him. But, in my eyes, the club have properly done him over here.
This is exactly what United want. This is exploiting loyalty to its absolute core.
We’re all lined up next. It’s just a question of who’s next in the firing line; eventually, we'll all be gone.
Shame on you, #MUFC.
@jamesgparkerxdc No mate, as advertised no App or Forum this season. App should return next season but Forum highly unlikely. More news will be posted on socials & our website soon.
