Gaza is not a war zone - it is a graveyard for humanity's conscience.
Palestinian children are suffering day after day as the Israeli bombardment and siege continues.
These children have names, they have hopes and dreams for the future.
They are someone's everything, their entire universe.
We refuse to allow their suffering to become normalised.
Everyone I speak with in Gaza says the same thing. They're beyond the exhaustion, beyond the grief, beyond the pain.
At this point, for Palestinians in Gaza it's as though not only has the world been unable to stop the crimes, but almost like the world simply wishes they would just die already.
What an ugly feeling to endure. Seeing how a small population is facing the world's most destructive weapons ever made being dropped on them again and again and again, and yet the uproar is nowhere near the size of the travesty.
Speak up, demand that Gaza and its people live.
The health ministry has released a 1,516–page document listing the names of over 50,000 Palestinians confirmed killed in Gaza since Oct 7, 2023. There are a total of 474 pages listing 15,600+ children’s names. The first 27 pages the age is listed as 0 — children under 1 year old
This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.
A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal, co director of our film no other land. They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since.
Scapegoating refugees has always been a deliberate ploy by governments to distract from their own domestic failures.
Pandering to Reform UK will backfire — and vulnerable people will pay the price.
End dangerous crossings by opening safe routes for fellow human beings instead.
Anyone paying attention has seen the condition of many Palestinian captives freed from Israeli prisons. Emaciated, abused, tortured, scabies & other skin rashes. The condition of these Palestinians held by the U.S.-backed Israeli govt. receive scant Western media coverage.
It is obviously good that Trump's absurd proposal is being rejected by US-allies, but it is utterly maddening to read things like this from people who've supported Israel's carpet-bombing of Gaza for the last year.
Congratulations to the PhD candidate in Gaza whose PhD I examined today, online.
A fine piece of work.
A PhD is hard in normal circumstances. When your teachers, supervisor & Vice Chancellor are all murdered during scholasticide, the process is unimaginably difficult. أهنئك
Less than 2 hours after his film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary, the IDF invaded @basel_adra's village and started "searching" homes. From my experience as a former IDF soldier, this looks like a lot like the common IDF command: "demonstrating our presence."
if trans people wanna comment surgery gofundmes, I’m gonna give away 10k in $500 increments until it’s gone, & if other people wanna scroll through and make donations, please do
the government will never be the source of our validation or protection, we have to do it ourselves
