@paulvalleiii@SGlobalism2 Please stop saying we need an ace. There is zero evidence to support this take. The problem this year was the offense and especially the defense.
@PigTownSports While this is factually true, last year his blow ups were not exclusive to April. 13 starts over 4 ER’s. That’s almost half. And 9 starts over 5 ER. He’s most dependable, least consistent pitcher
@tylerbarberis_ This would absolutely be an overpay. Extending him is irrelevant to the packing going back. For Kramer to be the 3rd piece who is a workhorse and leader in IP is insane.
@ForeverMarlins@habetoHNavarro Mayo was statically one of the best hitters in the game the last month of the season. Call it a hot streak if you’d like but saying he never panned out is just ignorant. Oh and Westburg is an All Star. This trade is radio call in bad.
@PigTownSports If you’re overpaying, pay for Tucker. He’s the MUcH better hitter, younger, and plays excellent defense.
Alonso’s contract is going to age horribly and probably sooner than later
@PigTownSports @brian_wyckoff I much prefer Schwarber. All indications a true leader which is what this team desperately craves. It’s telling how happy the Mets are to let Pete walk despite being a fan favorite and all time leader in HRs etc
@PigTownSports Hard pass. Related or not, Helsley sunk when taken out of the 9th inning role. Zero chance Elias dedicates 35M to the back end of the bullpen. Put the money toward a SP
@Cstevens02@themerkwholived@tylerbarberis_ My take was the majority opinion. Even Jeff Passan described it as “surprising”.
Have you seen any other roster decisions from yesterday described as surprising?
