Today, the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia signed a cooperation agreement with Türkiye’s Piri Reis University, a renowned institution specializing in maritime education and research.

This partnership will expand access to higher education and professional training for Ministry staff and personnel across Somalia’s ports, while also strengthening collaboration with the Somali Maritime Institute.

In addition, we signed a cooperation agreement with DEHUKAM, the Center for Maritime Law, which will provide legal expertise and advisory support to help advance Somalia’s maritime governance and legal framework.
