We are a coalition of CT students who support responsible, effective, and environmentally conscious investments in our state’s transportation infrastructure.
This weekend, @GovNedLamont, @WillHaskellCT, and @Steinberg06880 will be hosting a town hall to discuss the urgent need for investments in transportation.
One of our student organizers, @MikeHernandezCT, took some time to explain what’s at stake.
Fixing our roads and modernizing our trains can’t wait any longer. My constituents want Hartford to solve problems, not just talk about them. That’s why I’m ready to vote on this issue any day, any time. I’ll clear my schedule. How about you, @CathyOsten?
This is crazy- let’s vote on the plan. Continuing to kick the can down the road and borrowing even more money 100% on the backs of CT taxpayers is what got us in this mess to start with.

Here’s @Austinwkeller, a student at Brien McMahon High School, talking about the importance of investing in transportation.
With better transportation, CT will be better positioned to bring in the next generation of workers and leaders.

Another masterpiece by Sam. He made this cake for @GovNedLamont and presented it to him during the taping of this week's installment of Capitol Report, which airs Sunday mornings at 10am on @WTNH cc: @ctcapitolreport
Remember, when opponents of investing in transportation say “no tolls”, what they actually mean is “more borrowing.” Don’t let them mortgage our future.
How do Republicans plan on paying for transportation? They want to raid our Rainy Day Fund, which has reached an historic high. Here are the MASSIVE funding cuts our most vulnerable #CT residents would face as a result of this. #CT2030 plan here👉https://t.co/RghgvuuE98
The Senate Democrats have been leading advocates for responsible investments in transportation. Truck-only tolling is the an effective and equitable way to finance the much needed upgrades here in Connecticut. #CT2030
If you haven’t had a chance, take a minute to listen to @GovNedLamont on @wherewelive. The Governor explained the urgent need to make investments in the future of Connecticut’s transportation.
.@GovNedLamont joins host @LucyVN in the studio tomorrow. We’ll talk about his priorities for the state in the new year and take your questions in real-time, on air and on Facebook Live. What questions do you have for the governor?
Very strange of @WillHaskellCT to publicly post the time and place of this town hall meeting. We heard from the Republicans that this was a “top secret” event. Unless... 🧐
The time to invest in our transportation infrastructure is now. That's why @Steinberg06880 and I are hosting @GovNedLamont in Westport this Sunday for a Town Hall on the CT2030 plan and Connecticut's transportation future.
Hi, I’m actually from Stamford and I’m a @UConn student, and not @Alex4CT’s personal assistant. I follow her because she has the courage to hold government accountable. That’s called purpose.
Spent the morning meeting commuters at Branchville and talking about CT 2030. The constituents I met want more frequent trains that travel directly into Manhattan and modernized rail cars. I look forward to supporting this long-overdue investment in the Danbury branch line.
I can do you one better.
This 1963 timetable shows a 8:10 AM train leaving Westport, arriving at Grand Central by 9:14 AM. That train is slower today. We’re moving in the wrong direction.
"The meeting today comes as a coalition of unions, construction companies, regional councils of government and chambers of commerce urged legislative leaders to enact a transportation financing scheme by year’s end." https://t.co/oPokC8C5LY
Great turnout at @203action tonight! Thanks for letting me stop by to talk about how #CT2030 would reduce commuting time in Fairfield County and bring our infrastructure into the 21st century.
