If a man I respect is married, I keep my distance from his wife. I have no reason to be her friend, I'm his friend and thus by extension honour him by giving almost no attention to his wife. I do not want to form any type of emotional attachment to her, not even a platonic one.
As an ex-manipulator, I can guess the game VDM is playing - as it might beyond just "supporting Jude".
He is constantly testing his ability to overturn overwhelmingly strong public sentiments.
He tried it with the Mohbad situation & interestingly, it worked.
โI Took a Loan of ยฃ75,000 From the UK to Come and Invest in Nigeria Because the Government Said We Should Come Back and Invest. But the Same Government Is Destroying Our Investment. As Iโm Talking Right Now, Iโm Actually Thinking of Counting My Losses, Packing My Things, Tearing My Nigerian Passport, and Going Back. I Have Friends Who Have Destroyed Their Nigerian Passports Because of Things Like This.โ ~ Man Cries Out After His Investment and Business Were Destroyed and Demolished in Abuja Without Any Notice or Warning.๐๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ
There are flying actors and battle scenes. But even more interesting is that the entire theatre was built for just one show. You feel the experience from your seat.

This coach is not just coaching those kids... He's coaching us all.
What a man!!!
Don't look at other's pace and position focus on your own grind.
There's no first to reach in life. The goal is to be present in the circle of influence
May the universe make it easy for us ๐
Really takes one self-hating African to destroy everything...
And because we haven't implemented consequences for such traitors and their offsprings, we will continue to have more traitors in the future.
The most useful political statement I have ever read was this simple quote from Chairman Mao: "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun".
Everything else is just a series of fantasies and illusions that people sell themselves so they can sleep well at night. Whatever style of government you pretend to have, it is always underwritten by men with guns, and its stability always ultimately comes down to what the men with guns choose to do.
Your "democracy" is a children's fairy tale you tell yourself to make the world more palatable - it is men with guns that enforce and implement decisions, and it is men with guns that will escort you into a police car, a courtroom or a prison if you choose not to obey whatever instruction you have received.
Your "theocracy" is a lie because God has no power to make you do anything without the men with guns making you carry out his will. Mecca and Jerusalem are the 2 allegedly holiest in the world, and they're both filled with men with guns, purportedly carrying out the will of God.
Every type of human society is held together by men with guns. A good society is one where the interests of the men with guns align with those of the people without guns, and a bad society is one where the men with guns live parasitically off the people without guns.
ALL societies are dictatorships of men who control the guns. Some just include a whole lot of extra steps to obfuscate that basic fact. I personally prefer the societies where the men with the guns do not hide their control and their interests align with those who do not have guns.
Growing up is realising that "democracy" is like Santa Claus. It's a story told for 5 year-olds to feel involved in the world's decision making. You didn't put Tinubu, Trump or Macron in power with your "vote" you fucking peasant.
There are people in the quotes and comments talking about how experience and/or skill is more important than a masters degree.
Well, why does this only affect Asian and African immigrants in the UK and not citizens or immigrants from other developed countries?
The MSc to caregiver pipeline does not have British citizens in it for a reason.
The system is working exactly how it was designed to work.
Before you relocate to any country through any route, try to understand exactly what youโre getting into.
The work permits for these roles are so restrictive that you simply cannot get out of that rat race no matter how hard you try.
Thereโs huge demand for caregivers and the govt will continue to change policies to keep you in the permanent underclass. If you can work with your MSc, who is going to look after their old people?
When you compare being poor in Nigeria to being poor in the UK, it makes sense to choose UK poverty especially when you donโt take a holistic view of the situation.
The problem with being in the lowest level of any society is not merely poverty itself, but the lack of freedom to even dream.
When your exit strategy after an MSc in the UK is a work permit that puts a hard limit on the type of jobs you can get, restricts you from accessing public funds while applying the maximum taxes and levies on your income, then maybe, just maybe youโre playing a game you cannot win.
Thereโs little you can do in such a system. Having worked as a senior banker in Nigeria for 10 years and graduating with a related MSc from a UK university does not shield you from considering a career in care work. And this is regardless of your experience and skills. The same experience and skills people allude to in the quotes and comments.
