Our severe risk for tonight has been upgraded to a Level 2 of 5. The first round of storms will be moving through shortly with no severe weather expected.

Round 2 will occur in the mid afternoon to late evening with scattered supercell development capable of producing all hazards (tornadoes, wind, hail).

However, this threat is going to be dependent on the recovery of the atmosphere after this first round pushes through. If clouds and rain linger all day, we wont be able to recover enough instability.

A basic rule of thumb after this first round pushes through, if you see sun then your chances are increasing. The more sun you see the more instability is loading up for stronger storms.
