The upcoming #ASEANSummit on 5-9 May is a critical test of @ASEAN’s credibility.
⚠️There is no basis for legitimizing #Myanmar junta, which continues to defy the 5PCs & commit atrocities.
As the Chair, Philippines must fully bar junta representatives.

Myanmar 🇲🇲 MAP UPDATE: the situation in Myanmar as of 02/05/2026.
This past month the junta made some critical advances.
-They moved up the hillside roads in Chin state to capture the town of Falam.
-The broke the siege on Htigyaing and Katha and seized control of Indaw.
This little puppy in Myanmar 🇲🇲 has experienced enough junta airstrikes to know he has run to the bomb shelter as soon as he hears the jet engines passing over.

Junta is rushing a sham election to disguise its brutality and atrocities. This is political theater, not democracy.
The world must reject this sham election and stand with the people of #Myanmar who are fighting for an inclusive federal democracy.

Today, on the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, we honor not only a Nobel Peace Laureate and a symbol of resilience, but also the enduring spirit of the people of Myanmar in their pursuit of democracy, freedom, and justice.
Though she remains unjustly imprisoned by the illegitimate military junta, her courage continues to inspire millions across Myanmar and around the world. Her birthday reminds us that the struggle for democracy is not over—and that the will of the people cannot be silenced.
The National Unity Government stands united with the people in calling for her immediate and unconditional release, along with all political prisoners. We urge the international community to maintain unwavering support for Myanmar’s democratic movement, and to reject any attempt at legitimizing military rule.
On this solemn day, we request the world to remember: Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is not only a symbol of our past hopes, but of our future as a free and democratic nation. Let us reaffirm our collective commitment to the values she has long stood for—peaceful resistance, human dignity, and democratic governance.
We call on all democratic nations to increase pressure on the junta, support the people’s revolution, and stand with Myanmar until democracy is restored.

What the Burmese terrorist Junta has done to the city of Bhamo is as bad as any destruction inflicted by the Assad Regime on Syrian cities. It is akin to the level of destruction we see inflicted on Gaza.
They cannot be allowed to do this for every city that resists their terror.
Acting President @DuwaLashiLa extends heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Lee Jae-myung on his election as President of the Republic of Korea.

#Myanmar 🇲🇲 MAP UPDATE: the situation in Myanmar as of 01/06/2025.
The past month was marked by a series of modest advances by the resistance. A number of junta camps were seized in the states of Karen, Bago, and further in the south. The resistance controls between 60-65% of the country.
A local Narinjara News on FB reported about 20 Chinese PLA soldiers were fighting along with Myanmar limitary infantry by using drones in Kyauk Phyu.
If the news is true, Xi's China and its CCP government are betting on the wrong horse.

The junta soldiers have been reported to arrest and torture villagers, employing them as human shields in a blatant display of brutality in Lungkhin village located in Hpakant township of Kachin state, Myanmar.
This disturbing trend coincides with the junta's renewed military offensive against the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in the Hpakant region, highlighting the alarming disregard for human rights and the safety of civilians.
