Hi! I worked on Rumbleverse as Lead Combat Designer. I figure I’d take some time to share some thoughts about my process, inspirations, and gush about all the amazing work everyone on the team did. Enjoy!
There’s an interesting balance between admiration and envy. For example there are many game developers out there, individual or company, that create games I greatly admire. Sometimes I get this… yearning to work with them or work on their project.
So now when I get that feeling, I try to channel it into my own work. i.e. transitioning from “I really wish I could work on <cool game>” to “What can I do to make my players feel like they do when they play <cool game>”
