So not only has she not been given the salary increase but a 3 year no increase due to inflation is a pay cut. Now her company is trying to convince her that because she gets a substantial yearly BONUS that she should factor that into her salary total. You can’t make this up.
Here’s why people are unmotivated and exhausted:
My wife is in a higher end role in her field and has continually been promised a substantial salary increase since stepping into her NEW and INCREASED role around last July. This should have been done immediately but…
“since it’s the end of the year it’s not in the company budget for an increase at this time.” After every 1 on 1 with her boss it’s the next date then the next date. It’s not end of February and still no salary increase. It’s also been 3 years since any increase at all.
#iubb has student support, massive NIL, a President that is dying to win, incredible history (ancient but still history) yet can't win...it's astounding
@J45198198 piece together our monthly groceries is insane. A once a month hour long drive to Costco, Thrive Market, and Kroger to fill in the gaps at ~$1200 a mo. in Indiana is where we’re at. Believe me, I’ve tried to cut it but with inflation it’s damn near impossible.
A person making $100k yearly can live a great life in most places.
> $2,000/month 401k
> $2,500/month mortgage or rent
> $500/month food
> $500/month car payments
> $500/month spending
> $500/month misc
This is plenty of money. Don’t let the internet fool you.
@J45198198 If you want to eat real Whole Foods it depends on your family size and how you strategically go about it. I live in a rural area where the only grocery store at my disposal is Kroger whose selections and prices are among the worst. The lengths my family has to go through to…
This is 100% accurate. How are people not losing their minds over this? I’m probably more outraged at this because I have a wife & 2 kids to feed and I refuse to feed them the poison that America calls food. I’m strategic & our grocery budget is $1,200/mo. and that’s HARD.
I genuinely need someone to explain this to me like I’m stupid.
$108.
For THIS.
No steak. No seafood. No alcohol. No name brand snacks.
Just eggs, bread, vegetables, fruit, and basic household stuff.
At what point did groceries quietly become a bill you have to mentally prepare for?
Who decided that feeding yourself for a week should cost the same as a car payment in 2019?
And before someone says “shop smarter” how
Because this is the smart cart.
If you think this is normal, you’re either rich, lying, or completely numb to how bad things have gotten.

@makulback@Nithya_Shrii Sure it is. But at the end of the day if you choose not to do what you know is the right thing to do because of the risk involved, deep down that’s fear.
