@BillB in the early 1980s, you helped me draw graphics in assembly. it helped, thank you!
i've put a full write-up on the book: https://t.co/0f12i64LyX

4 years ago today i made six predictions about the trump presidency. i am happy to say that i was wrong about infant mortality, which has declined. that said, i had no idea how awful and scary this period would be. i am optimistic that things are getting better.
@HawleyMO@simonschuster this isn't orwellian - the government isn't limiting your speech. this is capitalism, a corporation measured the value of its reputation against the profit from your book and made a sound business decision. free markets for the win.
@youtubemusic i'd love an exploratory radio station that plays music unknown to me, and NOT yet-another "what's new" or "what's popular" list. there is a whole world of OLD and new music out there i don't know about but would like. help me find it!
An animation for @cs_kaplan's #SwirledSeries art project, with @SaulSchleimer. Here we fly through a cohomology fractal that happens to contain a checkerboard. You can explore it at https://t.co/5jw2aEFBNp (Open controls, go to the "cool examples" census, and choose "t12047".)
@sesteva sadly not. i built it as an observable notebook:
https://t.co/3GNB1E9xmr
it is possible to use notebook code in other projects using methods like this:

but that is clearly not as clean and tidy as an npm module.
@recoiljs i was having a look at this. useRecoilTransactionObserver would allow me to push changed values into the URL params, but i can't see how i would then pull those values out and put them into my state. any guidance on that?
i have been loving @recoiljs. i made a general-purpose url parameter tool meant to behave like a recoil atom. so far it seems to be working nicely. but... how is it going to bite me in the ass? :)
