Trekabout was a podcast where a Trekkie convinced a non-Trekkie to watch Star Trek. All of it. From the beginning. We made it to season seven of Voyager. RIP
I don't know why but the doge icon has sent me over the edge. You can always find us at https://t.co/mDypWqWpyO and stay subscribed to the podcast, because you never know!
It's been a blast, everyone. 🖖
I often see comments that’s like “this season of Picard is made by fans and that’s why it’s good” but may I remind yall that S1 showrunner Michael Chabon IS a fan, he used to answer fan questions after every episode, even posted detailed notes about characters/alien cultures.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you (yes, you, personally) aren't required to carry water for corporately-owned IP that is constantly regurgitated up into new and ever-horrifiying forms just so the film/tv/whatever rights don't revert, okay
When asked for a solution to new pro-life laws around the country, Jane Fonda declares that they need to "murder" Republican politicians.
Joy Behar immediately jumps in to claim "she's just kidding," warning "they'll pick up on that and run with it."
Fonda gives a negative look.
can I point everyone who thinks this thread has a good point (it does not) to @Darren_Mooney's excellent article about the disingenuous defensiveness mcu fans have about the growing hostility to superhero movies. https://t.co/rdIKrsc3jc
@jbouie I maintain that the fundamental problem with the movie is the setting; McDonaugh just doesn’t understand the United States. Set it in Ireland and it doesn’t become a good movie, but maybe a better one
@PatBlanchfield Next time just ignore it. $90.88 won't tank your credit and they literally can't do anything to you except go to small claims, which they won't do bc they probably bought that debt for $3
