Maps from and for #StarTrek. Building better #TrekMaps too. ✨(No affiliation w/ CBS/Paramount. All materials property of their respective owners.) (they/them)
@PnkThrnRambles If you would like more references of the Defiant Studio model, I run an online archive of Star Trek production material.
It has physical models, LCARS, concept art and blueprints of the sets etc.

@jjmfaraway I'd hardly characterize asking the person who designed a spaceship what it's called and using that name as "littering" a story with "gratuitous lore".
Two things: if you're a Star Trek producer/production designer:
1. Please name background ships/aliens and share those names. It'll make talking about them so much easier.
2. If you need to know what, say PADDs or Klingon consoles looked like in 2372: contact me, let me help. 😅
The beautiful star chart of Federation, Klingon and Romulan space, as seen in the #StarTrekSNW episode "Spock Amok". Notice how the Romulan markers consist only of green dots, no Romulan emblem is used here, 7 years before contact is re-established.
@nyrath On-screen #StarTrek is obviously a mess of inconsistent and/or undefined units (especially TOS before things were standardized at all), but Mandel's "Star Charts" (2002) tried to make some sense of it.
It would be impossible to express how much we love @TrekMaps, or to overstate our surprise we have just now stumbled upon it. @StarTrek#IDIC#LLAP#Nerdgasm
I mean, just look at this zoomed in shot & the glorious galaxies. It's going to take a while for this to sink in – a diffraction-limited 6.5 metre telescope in space. Wow.
Small adjustments, major progress!
Having completed 2 more mirror alignment steps, #NASAWebb’s optical performance will be able to meet or exceed its science goals. Now that’s good optics! 😉 https://t.co/lGUdT9emkD #UnfoldTheUniverse

This is nothing like the reporting I’ve been seeing hyped up in American media… Some won’t like me saying this but Chinese media is far more level-headed and accurate. Where the U.S. sees more war and disaster; China, Russia, Ukraine all see a chance for peace and cooperation.
