The move up in spot uranium this week has taken place on relatively low volume purchasing. This is a very tight market. It won't take much buying pressure to keep this trajectory going or to cause a steeper spike.
@Carlos6cuenta@Big_U_Dawg@WWR_Inc Yeah either they've run into difficulty closing the deal (I personally don't think so)
Or this is gonna be a realllllyyyyyyyy big deal, and they're keeping it quiet because its such a big deal they want to make sure all the details are hammered out.
@SirToshi_Nakamo@MichaelFarlow @bradleydindial @FirstSquawk The *idea* that they HAD to buy bonds with their excess is exactly the line of thinking that causes these problems. They do treat these situations as if they *have to* spend the excess money.
They didn't. Thinking that they did is dangerous because it leads to bad decisions
@SirToshi_Nakamo@MichaelFarlow @bradleydindial @FirstSquawk I know all this. This is basic financial knowledge. You still haven't said why they HAD TO buy those bonds. They didn't have to.
It bit them, sometimes investments do that.
But don't go around saying they just HAD to buy them. They didn't. Unless you can tell me why otherwise
@MichaelFarlow@SirToshi_Nakamo @bradleydindial @FirstSquawk That's all easily understood. My issue is @SirToshi_Nakamo said they HAD to buy bonds with their reserves.
They did not "have to" buy them. Unless someone can point to why they literally, as if a gun was held to their head, have to buy them.
We all know they didn't have to.
You guys...if we see $49.50 next week, I don't want to see you complaining. Per doesn't have to share with us in the way that he does. Also, as a commodities trader, he's not shilling a bullish narrative. Understand the context and the "spirit" of the statement...
Alright - The not-so-live breakdown of the actual livestream discussion with our friend, Per. As I start watching this, I am going to bet that @JamesConnor1999 or @BloorStreetCap is going to ignore my requests to have Per speak on toilets, but I digress https://t.co/EnmquHFxbM
What markets don’t like is Volatility in bond markets. $MOVE index isn’t moving all that much. Yes, yields have been moving up, but in an orderly manner. Equities can do fine so long as $MOVE doesn’t start making new highs.
