@northwoods1980 Ive used gelfoam to embolize tracts during biliary interventions if there were any portal tracts. I would not use gelfoam after biopsy of liver unless i have an obvious high flow bleed. I usually put the needle in the coaxial half way and let it form a small clot, usually enough

@northwoods1980 Ive never used either, 99% ultrasound guided biopsies, mostly liver. I have, however, seen some colleagues using gelfoam “bullets” in the tract, as in slicing thin gelfoam bits and shoving them in the coaxial.
