Continuity in Industrial policy between the AIADMK and DMK is what has made Tamil Nadu a manufacturing and industrial powerhouse. Both took their cuts but allowed industries to flourish, gave reasonably quick approvals and were largely seen as industry friendly. The early days of the TVK Govt seem worrying as it looks like CM Vijay may be having his own ideas on the policy.
Today there is a fierce competition between States for investment. Industry wants to go to places where it is most welcome and is given the most benefits.
In reality Vijay only needs to let things continue as they are without disruption. There is already momentum. Guidance TN has been on the ball in supporting investors.

To dismantle something that is working quite well is easy. To ensure that the new structure that you put in is just as good or better is a tough ask, especially in Government.
The danger signs are starting to flash. #Parandur project suspension may be the start of the unraveling. Worrying.

If people wanted continuity in policies, they wouldnt have voted TVK.. its imp that Vijay led Govt. comes up with a new Industrial policy... the world is changing in ways we cannot imagine... Policy needs to reflect that

When the elitists Sumanth and co are riled up for the TN’s economy because parandur is being scrapped. But the TN internal infrastructure is limping without proper roads and electricity and basic facilities. When TVK is trying to fix this, these guys are deflecting this.

Among those who died in the TVK Karur rally stampede were 15 Scheduled Caste (Dalit) victims, according to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes. Many belonged to the Arunthathiyar community—one of the most socially and economically marginalised communities in Tamil Nadu.

Many victims were poor daily-wage earners & breadwinners from suppressed & socially exploited backgrounds.

National SC/ST commission Chairperson Kishor Makwana & team inspected the site, hospital & met families of 12 of the 15 SC victims and observed that victims were mostly from economically weak, poor households who lost earning members.

NCSC recommended one eligible member from each affected SC family get a government job for long-term livelihood security. They assured Central Govt support & plan more recommendations after full review.

In this case if you could see that not only the 15 Dalits who died in the stampede but the others too were from the most backward classes and were daily wage earners.

In this regards no matter who came to Power in May 2026 ,they would have obliged to the commission's directions.

Because this is what has been happening for years .

So @CMOTamilnadu is not doing anything wrong by offering government jobs to the stampede victims families .

This is the norm and even if DMK was in Power they would have been compelled to it .

Also people will be given government jobs based on their educational qualifications and nobody is gonna "steal " a graduate's job or so .

Also Tamilnadu has a big backlog with Lakhs of government jobs for SC/ST and Mbcs and giving jobs to 41 of them is not going to affect the remaining people in the state even by ten percent.

So ...let the TVK government go ahead with the government jobs for the victims.

The state has to take the accountability for the lives lost.

The lives lost can't be taken for granted just because the party they supported is ruling with power now.

DMK, AIADMK, Congress, BJP, all support the #Parandurairport project. They need to come out on to the streets and peacefully demand the same. This is a good opportunity for them to portray the TVK as regressive. Maybe hold a meeting together. This is not a political issue. Just like all parties come together on such issues in Karnataka, they need to do the same here.
