Looking back...this time in 2017 we removed a weir on the Trent at Bucknall Park with partners @EnvAgencyMids and @TrentCaba. The weir was stopping fish from moving through the river. Three years on, this stretch is a much better home for trout, bullhead and other river wildlife.

After heavy rainfall last week, this image of the Trent at @StaffsUni really shows how natural features in the new channel are increasing capacity & flood resilience. The river has flowed into new pools & lowered floodplain areas that have been created.
