Found an atlas from 1968, and not only does it not show highways or roads, but instead *railroads*; look at the density of lines crossing Central NJ! Most end operating within the decade following (also, 1968 is year after the Newark/Plainfield riots and 2 before Asbury Park)

Some don’t want to have this convo, but the quality of life in the average central New Jersey town is superior to 90% of the country. You’re an hour from the greatest city in the world (and Philadelphia also), less than an hour to lovely beach towns and excellent restaurants.

I get the compromise… but any additional dollars for StayNJ is a travesty. There is absolutely no good policy reason why GenX, Millennials, GenZ and GenAlpha have to further subsidize the most subsidized generation in American history— especially as that generation ran up massive deficits to subsidize themselves.
