@WG_RumblePants Unless Root is really up for it there’s nothing wrong with picking someone with captaincy experience from outside the existing squad. A reset is needed and a refreshed Test team certainly could not do any worse than the last team!
Agreed. I would rest #Brook for the next Test series. Is there a player in the @CountyChamp with captaincy experience eg. Tom Abell good No.3 batsman and bowls a bit. @SomersetCCC#EngvNZ#Stokes
Who on earth will be the new England Test captain?
Brook is too immature. Bethell too young. Duckett isn’t a captain.
That only leaves Root and I don’t think he will particularly want it.
It’s a mess
10 years later and you’re coup-ing. Big time. Someone else did the hard work of getting Labour electable and you’ve dropped the Manchester Mayoralty like a hot brick to shove your own PM out of the way. Could’ve arrived humbly, settled in, re-learned the ropes then made your case. But you didn’t. And it’ll cost you. Internally, externally, internationally.
#labourmps need to come up with a challenger to #Burnham or members of @UKLabour will have no role in electing their new leader. I’m not confident they will too many want rewards for backstabbing #Starmer#Politics stinks
Starmer is leaving because he lost a battle with The Daily Mail, The Sun, GB-News, Russian Propaganda, Musk, MAGA and Twitter.
The next PM will have the same forces undermining him from Day 1.
Who and how can we win this war? The answer isn’t Andy Burnham…
@reformexposed There are statutory rules governing attendance. If he does not attend meetings for six months without a valid reason previously approved by the Council he loses his seat.
Well this is quite the roll of dishonour - MPs who don't understand that the law in question is the Equality Act, as interpreted by the Supreme Court. So who are trying to prevent statutory guidance on that law from being approved, because 🤷♀️
