We are gradually entering the cooler part of the storm. Snow is accumulating up high (above 9000 ft). Over 4" of precip has now fallen in parts of the central Wasatch! More to come with some hefty accumulations possible over the next two days.
🌪️ NEW VIDEO: TORNADO TOUCHES DOWN IN UTAH
This tornado touched down in the foothills of Davis County Friday afternoon and then moved up into the mountains as the supercell thunderstorm pushed northeast.
We saw very tight rotation on radar as the storm moved through, and this video now confirms the tornado touchdown.
Thankfully, it moved into the mountains and away from populated areas. We got extremely lucky. 🙏🌪️

Have you ever looked into a pump storage facility? Look up Helms Pumped Storage Plant in California. It’s battery comprised of two reservoirs that stores potential energy as water. I think the downfall of solar comes in battery tech - the best batteries have short lifespans. On the other hand, I’ve worked on hydro units built in 1895 that are still productive. I would be interested in seeing solar power directed at pump storage. That gives accessible power at scale to be used as the grid needs. There was a proposal a few years back to build pump storage around Bear Lake. I wonder where that went. I would feel warmer towards solar if it was directed at a battery like a reservoir.
We have volunteers running our church at every level. Out of a church of millions of members, there are about 500 who receive a modest stipend for full-time service. The other tens of thousands of clergy are unpaid. We don’t claim to have infallible leaders. The Fogotten Opinion of Brigham Young might be a more fitting title, as this was never accepted into church doctrine. What a dishonest piece.
