@Kristinartz No, and the reason is that if they have an income above the tax threshold they have income about the tax threshold. The real question is what should the tax threshold be?!
@RupertLowe10 Please don’t be so foolish. The history of the last 60years has been governments taking the best of British and saying we’re getting rid of it for some ideological reason. Surely you’re the team who see this and don’t want to make the mistakes of the past. The BBC is great
@Jenny_1884 Have you ever worked with reluctant “volunteers”? I’d say we should create a scheme that lets people volunteer really as that experience might be great for all involved. Compulsion would not work
@LeeHurstComic Well, my guess is it won’t be 40% as your business may be tax exempt for the first £2m and your house might pass to your partner tax free and you have quite a large personal allowance. Only 7% of families pay inheritance tax so your probably quite well off if you do…
@floboflo Are you implying that GB News is laundering donated money into the pockets of politicians? Politics who aren’t supposed to be paid TV presenters? Or have I got confused?
@CupheadTheGreat Fair enough. I did wonder. As a strange twist some of the E2 locos were used at Southampton Docks where they were replaced at the end of their lives by USA tanks which were modified US army locomotives from the Second World War.
@CupheadTheGreat The LBSC E2, although the inspiration for Thomas the Tank Engine was not the best shunting locomotive in the U.K. I would have thought a 57xx pannier tank, or an LMS Jinty would be better candidates
