Ghana needs to see this. 🇬🇭
3 years ago, my friend @Dan01Dude was involved in a near-fatal accident on the Aburi Hills road after an MTN Ghana branded pickup drove on the WRONG side of the road, directly into oncoming traffic, and crashed head-on into him.
The entire incident was captured on GoPro.
He suffered serious injuries. His bike was completely destroyed.
Yet for THREE YEARS, this case has been dragged endlessly with no justice and no accountability.
How can a company as big as MTN Ghana allow this to continue despite clear evidence?
We are asking Ghanaians to help us amplify this until the right thing is done.
Please repost until this reaches the people responsible.

I just saw the video posted by GACL and it speaks volumes about how we like cutting corners and praising mediocrity especially when it comes to these things. I mean can’t you see the video is not looking ok????? And they are happy posting it. 🤮
switched to mac, all ports usb-c. got an external usb-a hard drive that’s full of stuff i actually need. you already know I’m not buying a dongle or reformatting it just to use it on mac.
so I built raven instead. it sends files straight between your devices over wifi. no cloud, no accounts, you drag/select a file in and it lands on the other machine. started as a scrappy terminal script for myself and snowballed into a desktop app.
GO on the backend doing the heavy lifting, wails wrapping it into a native desktop app. the whole transfer core is standard library with no third party deps.
it's all over mutual TLS 1.3. every device has its own key, pins the other's identity on first contact, and a changed key is a hard stop. encrypted across the wire, sha-256 checked on landing, stdlib crypto only. felt wrong to do it any other way.
there are probably a dozen apps that already do this. genuinely didn't check. i just love building things to fix my own annoyances, which is the whole reason i got into software in the first place
anyway, sharing it since a few of you might find it useful. works mac to mac, windows to windows, or across. universal mac build, runs on intel and apple silicon
mac: https://t.co/9AdyYWxSIY
windows: https://t.co/vJTCVrA9uW
they're not code-signed (not paying for certs for a side project)
mac: open the dmg, drag raven to applications, then right-click → open the first time.
windows: "more info" → run anyway.
might do ios/android someday if i get bored enough
COLONY is just non-stop carnage from beginning to end. It’s almost entirely genre thrills with little else on its mind, but what thrills they are! Yeon Sang-ho’s latest leans heavily into practical action and effects, with the makeup artists, stunt performers, and contortionists emerging as the film’s true highlights in this virus-fueled action horror that feels like it’s “28 Days Later” meets “The Raid: Redemption,” with wave after wave of brutal, kinetic chaos hurling itself at the characters as they fight to survive. A mindless, bloody fun time!
