@VerraadAU@NBA2kAustralian i don’t think anyone is acting like they have the full story. no one has the full story about anyone. all you can base it on is what you see from simmons from an athlete perspective. from what i see i can’t see how anyone can like/support him as an athlete. hence my initial Q
@VerraadAU@NBA2kAustralian well i do because i can see the outcome. by that logic you can’t believe anything you read or that’s reported and you should have compassion for everyone in any circumstance. same thing happened to giddey? what reason should australians have to support ben simmons?
@NBA2kAustralian all im seeing now is a player refusing to play for a team hes signed a max contract too and being fined in practice for his attitude. a lot of those accolades are a result of pure talent and athleticism + pure build. trae cooked him in the playoffs, a non all star vs the DPOY 2nd
@VerraadAU@NBA2kAustralian agree there but to what point do you keep doing that when he fails to hold up his end of the bargain. frustration of no development since his rookie year probably shows through. emotions are high in playoffs.
@VerraadAU@NBA2kAustralian look at gazes comments about. look if you want to defend simmons like he’s your son and still support him for committing murder, that’s fine. but to me there has to be a point where you don’t just keep supporting him because he’s “australian”. i don’t support his attitude.
@VerraadAU@NBA2kAustralian allegedly to “work on his game” while at wimbledon. look to me, pretty much any “excuse” to not play for your country is invalid to me, unless it was a genuine uncontrollable reason. it just shows your character. it’s been more than one occasion. you should be honoured
@NBA2kAustralian no he hasn’t and that is correct but one of your own that really doesn’t give a shit about playing for the country? we all know what he has done. 90% of it is self inflicted. his professionalism has been MIA and has shown no signs of changing his immature and entitled self.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a player you rebuild your franchise around. He isn’t a player you trade away for a draft pick so that if you’re lucky you can hopefully draft a player like… Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
@NBL@PerthWildcats that’s so unfair to the opposing team, potentially going back home down 2-0 with no momentum, even if it’s united who’s earnt top spot and home court? hell naaaaw
can they turn the microphones off for the coaches please? having to hear adam forde, trevor gleeson and simon mitchell sook all game is harsh on the ears. takes away from the game #NBL21
