Jeff Durbin’s criticism of John MacArthur is a good example of the problem I see with many intellectually puffed-up hyper-Calvinists: the inability (or unwillingness) to hold two ideas in tension.
What he’s saying here is no different than an Arminian saying “If God does all the work, why do Calvinists evangelize?”
So many pointless fights among Christians involve arguing over two truths we emphasize differently. Christian belief is full of paradox we can’t reconcile in these ant brains of ours. That might be why Christ told us we have to become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven.
The impulse to reduce our faith to a syllogism or math formula that makes 100% sense to us comes from pride and insecurity, in my humble opinion
@StuffForSisters Chaotic neutral : we are chaotic and bipolar as a nation causing pretty different changes upon the world stage depending on who’s in charge while kind of ignoring at home problems
In this video, California Senator Adam Schiff says that “our country is headed down a road to dictatorship.”
If you believe the left wants to turn down the rhetoric and stop political violence, you’re living in a fantasy world.
No mercy.
Empathy for everything that these people love and believe is over. Sharks in the moat in front of the 30' onyx border wall.
Why would I EVER harm myself because a sociopathic enemy, who is pretending to be ethical to exploit me, asks me to?
Fuck you. Fortissimo.
The nutjobbery summarized.
The guy who disagreed with me is Hitler and deserved to die, the guy who literally murders people in the streets is a cool meme
He needs to say that Trump is not Hitler and Trump is not a “threat to democracy”, that our country will survive regardless of who wins petty presidential elections
