@BarrasReport MAGA is cruel, this movement is not that. There were a lot of people who wanted change and JLG provided that option. There are problems with the way DC is run right now.
@joshjacobsondc People should also know the splash pads and pools are typically not turned on during the weekdays until DCPS is out of school which just happened on Friday. It was late this year because of snowcrete.
@FeverPotomac This is sadly typical of primary elections, especially in a non-presidential year. There are about 400,000 registered Dems who are the only people voting in the D primary 🙄. We will be higher than 25% but still abysmal.
Ward 3 data nerds check out these maps! Left side is Ward 3 map by precinct 2026. Right side is map from Bowser v White in 2022. The swing is incredible. Courtesy @MysteryPollster
In 2022 Bowser was the incumbent but White had name recognition and was seen as the progressive candidate. I think hats off to a dynamic candidate and an incredible ground game @Ward3Matthew and @DiegoFJauregui
@bourgeoisbantu As a ward 3 resident who actively campaigned for @Janeese4DC I can confirm there was fear mongering. McDuffie message vibes were ‘vote for me because things will be worse with her’ or ‘her policies are unrealistic’.
I thought that if @Janeese4DC could win 40% of Ward 3 then McDuffie would have zero path to victory. She hit that mark thanks to the incredible organizing of her Ward 3 team. @Ward3Matthew and Diego.
After all the punditry claiming Janeese Lewis George was the candidate of the the affluent, she is leading in every DC ward *except* for the most affluent one

You’re right, Eric! I’m keeping the hat. And I’m still worried about your head! In a serious way, not the usual way. 😉 if its still bleeding go see that doctor I sent you.
OCF is putting its thumb on the scale trying to help McDuffie. I have experienced this myself. This will be overturned on appeal. Sloppy and corrupt. Voters are smarter than this.
#BreakingNews - Office of Campaign Finance fines Janeese Lewis George campaign $16,000 and independent Safe & Affordable pac $4,000 after probe of improper union / campaign spending coordinated with her campaign.
@billyez2@colinmort My problem with this “investigation” and report is that it is misleading. It states false claims as fact, ie. people mentioned were not in fact contacted. There is no evidence of coordination, yet they seem to say there was. What a mess.
@AshleySchapitl@Domo_Politico OCFs report is written to mislead people. The “leased” employees are indeed employed by their organizations. That is what “leased” means. The campaign pays their salaries. The report claims there are no firewalls but this is false. They never asked or investigated the procedur.
@ChuckThies OCF offers zero evidence there was coordination. They didn’t even interview any of the named individuals. OCF bases the violation on firewall systems they claim are inadequate, but they offer zero evidence the firewall was breached. Zero.
@KevinPDonohue It’s one reason, yes. If you read the OCF report you can see they didn’t interview any of the players and based their findings on vibes. OCF offers zero evidence of coordination.
Dear fellow voters, OCF putting its thumb on the scale with a sloppy “investigation” is why I’m voting for Janeese L-G. I don’t want to live in a city that weaponizes investigations. We need less of this, not more.
