@mathillustrated @mpershan The reality for most teachers means those are most likely the type of articles to expect. I would like to see teachers of various levels and settings conduct action-research related to claims from BLT, most teachers are short on time & resources to conduct such research.

@mpershan Kind of brings us full circle back to what the #mtbos was in the first place: people sharing something personal about their teaching experience. If it piqued the interest of others, great; however, that was beside the point. It was really about the author making sense/processing!

@dandersod I'd convert to vertex form. Complete the square for x^2+x by writing y=x^2+x+(1/4)-(1/4)+1. Factor/simplify as y=(x+(1/2))^2+(3/4). Shift the parent function 0.5 units left and 0.75 units up.

Each school year I conduct an experiment.

I don't change the calendar in my room at first until a student asks if I'm going to change it.

I've hit a new record this year.

October 21st and no one has yet to point out the calendar still says August.
