Three days before the midterms, PBS published the explanation for something that has not happened yet.
Their post, citing PolitiFact: if you go to bed on election night and do not know who won a race, that is normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find the candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that is normal too.
No race has been called. No count has been challenged. No lawsuit has been filed. Nothing has gone wrong.
The explanation arrived FIRST.
Steven Cheung saw it for what it is. His words: the media is already preparing their justification for potential shenanigans on Election Day.
I agree with him.
Count the votes. Count them in the open, with both sides in the room, and tell us the result instead of telling us in advance how to feel about it.
You do not hand out the alibi before anybody asks where you were. 💎
If anyone says that election fraud isn’t a problem show them this and ask why they don’t want to verify it. What they are doing is so insulting to every single US citizen. You have to question how many real votes Benson actually received because any person with half a brain can clearly see she’s a lying cheat and makes no attempt to hide it.
So who are YOU voting for this time?
You don't need to be a lawyer to understand this one… when somebody fights this hard to keep the right to delete something, it is because of what is on it.
Here is what happened in Michigan. Bridgewater Township Clerk Michelle McQueer had a simple question for Jocelyn Benson's office. Benson's own rule, R 168.48, says clerks must delete the electronic poll book files seven days after certification, while federal law, 52 USC 20701, says election officers must keep those records for 22 months and willfully failing to do it carries up to a year in federal prison. So which law does she follow? She asked in October of last year. She waited. She asked again. Nothing. Months of silence from the person in charge of Michigan elections, so she sued in August, got a restraining order, and she is now the only clerk known to still have her August 4 poll book file. Every other clerk's August file is already gone.
Then on Tuesday Judge Michael Riordan expanded that order statewide and told Benson to instruct every clerk in Michigan to move the November 3 poll books onto encrypted flash drives and lock them up until the court decides. DOJ filed a statement of interest saying poll book data, metadata included, are federal election records. And a data manager in Benson's own Bureau of Elections admitted under oath that the actual precinct lists poll workers use on Election Day never get uploaded to the state database, they get rebuilt later from a change log. So the "don't worry, it's all saved somewhere" argument just fell apart in her own affidavit.
And what does Benson do? She runs to the Court of Appeals with an emergency application, skips asking the trial judge for a stay first because it "would not be expedient," and asks them to waive the rule that says she has to. McQueer's lawyer Kevin Kijewski put it perfectly… she "asks leave to destroy the evidence while the court decides whether destroying it is lawful." The cost to Benson's office of obeying the order is one memo. The cost to a clerk who deletes is a federal statute with a jail term.
Now keep in mind this is the woman running for governor of Michigan. How do you campaign on protecting democracy while fighting in court for the right to erase the record of the election you are running in? Who benefits when the list poll workers actually saw on Election Day only exists for seven days?
I know this movie. Tina Peters got nine years in Colorado over backing up her county's election system before an update wiped it, and the media called her the threat. Michelle McQueer did it the right way, she asked, she waited, she went to court, and the Secretary of State still wants the files gone.
Preserve the records. All of them. For 22 months, like the law says.
Jocelyn, if there is nothing on those poll books, you should be the one begging to keep them.
I've spent a great deal of time going through @DataRepublican's incredible work here, so I thought I'd drop an easy-to-understand primer. Your life is a mistake if you're not following this woman!
The Illegitimacy Playbook: A Simple Primer
A group of people who spent their careers deciding when other countries’ governments were no longer legitimate just decided to run the same playbook at home. After USAID got shut down, the democracy office didn’t go away. It rebranded, kept the same initials, and started treating the United States like one of the countries it used to “help.” Most of the people involved still think they’re the heroes. The recordings show they also spent a lot of time privately writing the rules for when the current government stops being legitimate and sketching what should replace it. Convenient.
Where This Comes From
- USAID had a democracy office called DRG. Its official job was helping other countries with elections, courts, media, and activist groups.
- The approach came from Serbia in 2000 and was later used in places like Georgia and Ukraine.
- After USAID was closed, the same people formed the Democracy Renewal Group (still DRG). Their new goal is to apply that model inside the United States through a project called Renew American Democracy.
The Plan in Plain English
- Block: lawsuits, protests, and refusal to cooperate aimed at the Trump administration.
- Bridge and Belong: control the conversation and try to win people over.
- Build: use any crisis as the chance to redesign how American government works. They call it a “refounding moment.”
- One of the main people, Danielle Reiff, has said they can take a breakdown and turn it into major structural reform. The recordings also show work with DSA-aligned groups on ideas that go beyond the current Constitution.
Who Handles the Protests and Lawsuits
- DRG does not run the daily protests and legal fights. That job goes to a secretive group called the United Democracy Alliance (UDA).
- UDA is described as a large network that includes No Kings, Indivisible, MoveOn, 50501, and many other big activist groups. It has no public website, member list, or normal filings.
- One organizer says UDA is Erica Chenoweth’s project. Chenoweth is the Harvard professor known for the idea that mobilizing about 3.5 percent of the population can topple a government.
- A group of roughly 1,600 former military officers, intelligence officials, and diplomats called National Security Leaders of America (led by retired Rear Admiral Mike Smith) is credited with actually running the operational side. They track “red lines” and run a situation room. Their lawyers told them to stop recording meetings because of subpoena risk. Other people in the network kept recording anyway. DRG works with a group called Renew to Thrive, which accidentally published hundreds of calls and thousands of documents.
The Private Red Lines
- Working groups quietly wrote their own rules for when the federal government has crossed into illegitimacy. Invoking the Insurrection Act against protesters is one of the examples they discuss most.
- These rules were not voted on or debated in public.
- Their plans for what comes next include states refusing to help federal officials and governors calling a “Third Continental Congress.”
- The idea is that everyone is already organized so the response is ready the moment they decide a red line has been crossed.
Who Actually Decides When to Move
- The mid-level groups are not the ones making the final call on mass mobilization.
- The files point to a group called the Election Safeguards Response Network (ESRN) as the one that decides when to activate the larger alliance.
- That trail leads to Norm Eisen. ESRN is funded under an organization called State Democracy Defenders Action.
- Eisen is described as sitting on several important levers and functioning as a key decision-maker, though the posts say he is part of a small, still-hidden group of elites rather than acting alone.
The Bottom Line
- Thousands of organizations and billions of dollars are involved. Most people in the network believe they are saving democracy.
- The same people who spent decades deciding when foreign governments had lost legitimacy wrote the test for the United States in private and planned what comes after.
Put it all together and the picture is straightforward. A network built by people who specialized in regime change abroad has spent the last couple of years quietly preparing the same toolkit for use at home. They defined their own private red lines for when the federal government becomes illegitimate, pre-organized the protests and legal fights, lined up former national security officials to run the operations, and sketched plans for what a replacement government should look like. The people at the top of the hierarchy decide when the moment has arrived. Everyone else is told they are defending democracy. The recordings just happen to show them talking about structural reform, a new founding, and the conditions under which the current system no longer counts. That is the primer.
Accountability for every taxpayer dollar needs to come from the fraudsters and every elected official that allowed Billions of dollars in theft from citizens of the United States! This is not a Trump issue it’s a democrat issue so look within your own party and stop the hollow narratives.
🚨 HOLY SMOKES!!! TRUMP’S TRADE SHOCKWAVE: U.S. Trade Deficit COLLAPSES by $100 Billion – CNBC STUNNED as Trump Destroys 20 Years of Globalist Lies | “Buckle Up, THIS IS UNREAL!”
🔥 President Donald J. Trump just crushed the U.S. trade deficit, slashing it from $136 billion to just $29.4 billion — the lowest in nearly 20 years. CNBC anchors are in shock, forced to admit Trump and Scott Bessent were right all along. Reagan-level economics. America First triumphs again.
It seems that CA would be anxious to prove Trump wrong with respect to widespread voter fraud but they refuse to provide the evidence which is a very strong implication of guilt right there. You assholes deny the truth until you need to make excuses for its existence. Either prove it or STFU
Yes. An undercover video obtained by Townhall on Oct. 29 shows Sen. Slotkin telling a reporter that if Democrats win Congress, committees will pursue "signature cases" of egregious legal violations and corruption against the Trump administration starting in January, citing examples like the White House ballroom and Defense Department funds. She frames it as accountability; critics call it lawfare.
