Paper is finally out! https://t.co/aXEy1oynpL
Twit-summary is below but a very general summary: brain neurons are super pretty and they implement some sort of network with striking resemblance of convolutional nets. Please let us know any questions!
Super excited to share my latest research on @biorxivpreprint! Thank you @darbly for risk hiring an engineer postdoc and my wonderful co-authors @lathomas42@MountainRhoades et al at the Lee lab. Check out the preprint, or scroll down for my twitprint summary! 1/
The XPRESS challenge is live 🏁🏁🏁! Use #AI to map brain wiring from X-ray images. Accepting submissions until Mar 30 - winning entries will be invited to present their work at @IeeeIsbi in sunny Cartagena 🇨🇴🌞🏖️! https://t.co/hgBEeey2vD https://t.co/DLAawyjNXw (1/n)

The Raynor Cerebellum Project is a $25M+ initiative creating a virtual institute for cerebellar research and translation of which $6M+ will fund non-UTSW scientists. Apply for our kickoff Summit in beautiful New Mexico to shape the future and participate. https://t.co/fUPgAlKd1a
Come join us @MRC_LMB, Cambridge, the birthplace of #connectomics! New group leader position (TT/T) with long-term core funding for staff, students and equipment. Interest in development/application of synaptic resolution imaging (hardware/software) encouraged. Pls RT (or DM)!
@MShahrad Yea I missed writing arch papers... bio papers are just a slow grinding halt at the end which just dragged on and on before submission as we have no deadlines
How does circuit connectivity support decision-making? We combined behavior, neural recordings, EM connectomics, & modeling in the same cortical circuit. A new study led by @aaron_t_kuan in collaboration w/ the Harvey and Panzeri labs. 1/5

@thundercloudvol Yup, that's one of the first thing I tried :) and looked quite alright in Neuroglancer. If it's seamless for you guys then I guess it's more of a fundamental problem with our approach where we render chunked neurons as different segment IDs so the extensions don't quite match
@thundercloudvol I think Neuroglancer actually had its own implementation and used OpenMesh only for simplification. The implementation is in here: https://t.co/zKeLMULhz0
I’m looking for a (full stack) Tech Manager for our lab!
Join an awesome team of neuroscientists, compsci, & MLers in maintaining our infrastructure: #Python, @DataJointIO, some front end and back end experience required. Ad up soon; in the meantime please RT/share! @EPFL_en
