HERE WE GO 👇
The answer to why Ukrainians are quietly celebrating the death of Ayatollah Khamenei is in my palm — fragments of an Iranian Shahed drone that fell on my house in Kyiv. If you sum up four years of war, it is Iranian supplied and designed drones that have caused the greatest problems for Ukrainian civilians. @UKRinNATO
Certainly, this is a very opportune crisis for the Kremlin. Oil prices will increase, and the millions of barrels of Russian oil currently in floating storage would be in demand again. Add that the White House may turn a blind eye at countries (say India) buying from Russia.
Trump willing to excuse Putin’s blatant and easily provable violation of this promise means Trump likely willing to excuse any Russian violation of a future deal with Ukraine. The value of American security guarantees to Ukraine lies between zero and negative. An important factor in negotiations where the U.S. and Russia are pressuring Ukraine to give up the valuable defensive belt of Donbas for these guarantees.

Russia’s war against Ukraine hasn’t “now become” a war against Ukraine’s population, it’s been like that since February of 2022.
Russian forces literally spent the first months of the war constantly dropping cluster munitions on downtown Kharkiv!
As we approach a point marking the beginning of the war’s 5th year, it is time to discuss how we assess the war’s overall dynamics, strictly from a military standpoint. One method many analysts use is the pace of territory capture. However, this methodology has a serious issue🧵:
🇺🇸 🇮🇷 "Las conversaciones nucleares entre EEUU e Irán están previstas para el #viernes en medio de la intensificación militar".

The framework of the deal President Trump negotiated with the Secretary General of NATO would give the United States sovereignty over small pockets of Greenlandic land where the United States could build military bases.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation has played a unique role in the war. It has taken on responsibility for developing and procuring new high-tech weapon systems and equipment, such as uncrewed systems, electronic warfare, and command and control software, for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and it organized the Brave 1 defense cluster to promote defense innovation and new defense startups. Fedorov will arrive with a very good understanding of the Ministry of Defense's challenges.

Budanov’s ties to the U.S. could influence Ukraine’s peace talks — NYT
Kyrylo Budanov has long-standing and strong connections with the United States, which observers believe could play an important role in potential peace negotiations between Ukraine and the Trump administration.
He underwent training under a CIA-backed program and, after being wounded in eastern Ukraine, was treated at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland — a rare case for a Ukrainian serviceman.
