Fearful? Pray.
Anxious? Pray.
Hopeless? Pray.
Thankful? Pray.
Joyful? Pray.
Jesus has the answers. He has everything under control. He just wants us to pray.
I’m so proud of @CoreyLaJoie for his boldness to pray live on TV for the Busch family.
Let’s all continue to step out in faith and pray together for their family this week.

One thing that was not said Sunday was how incredible NASCAR, its teams, and the industry are at mobilizing and pulling together to make the right things happen when the moment needs to be right.
@PrimeVideo did an excellent job covering the heart of yesterday, between the @KyleBusch tribute and Honor and Remember but so many in the industry, led by NASCAR CEO Steve O'Donnell pulled together as one to make all of the right things happen flawlessly so what they had to cover was exactly right. Proud of our sport and everyone involved.
Feels like an appropriate day to log off social media, decompress, process, remember, spend time with your family, call someone you haven't spoken with in a while to reconnect, help someone, touch grass, take your dog to the park, or stare at the ceiling.
.@BubbaWallace asked for an ice cold @CocaCola this stop. The No. 23 team engineered a 20 oz bottle to go through the window for the next stop🥤#CocaCola600
Massive respect to @CoreyLaJoie for pausing to offer up a prayer live on the pre-race broadcast. Incredibly touching moment and much needed. #amazonprime#nascar#cocacola600
Brexton Busch showed a level of strength pre-race today I cannot imagine possessing at that age. It is a testament to the father Kyle was. He and Samantha have done an absolutely incredible job as parents. My heart is forever with them.
Brexton, at 11 years old, honoring his late father while staying strong for his grieving mother is something I’ll never forget seeing. Your dad is so proud of you. 💔
This was the moment that truly encapsulated how much Kyle Busch meant to NASCAR.
The strength of Samantha and Brexton. They will always have a massive extended family to lift them up.
Well done, @NASCAR
I would love to share my experience with the hope that it could lend some clarity — though I think it’s a very IMPORTANT topic for everyone to understand, clarity or not.
My mom died of sepsis last year.
What started as an ear infection, somehow the bacteria from it made its way to her bloodstream.
Once an infection takes ahold (poisons) your blood, it starts spreading that bacteria to all of your major organs.
This is EXTREMELY dangerous, especially if you have a weak immune system. (My mom was in remission from stage 4 cancer and Kyle Busch was just coming off pneumonia — which weakened their immune systems, making them more vulnerable).
When your immune system can’t fight (or keep up with) the bacteria rapidly spreading through your body, the bacteria wins and will start shutting down your organs as it tries to survive — and it happens very rapidly.
I saw my mom 2 days before and talked to her 1 day before she went into sepsis shock. She was totally fine and even started taking antibiotics for her ear infection. Then she didn’t show up to work. A family member went to check on her at home and she was found unresponsive in her bed. She was rushed to the ER and put on life support. Her kidneys, lungs and heart all shut down — resulting in a stroke, heart attack and brain damage. Because of the sepsis and we lost her.
It was very sudden and unexpected, just like Kyle’s situation.
I knew nothing about sepsis until my mom passed away. We tried everything to save her, but God was ready for her. Sepsis kills more people than cancer and I wish the seriousness of it was talked about more. Had I known, I would’ve told my mom to stay have her doctor test her blood when they treated her for an ear infection. I wish my mom’s doctor told my mom about the dangers of sepsis and screened her blood right then — perhaps they would’ve caught it in time.
I am NOT a doctor or medical professional, but my experience taught me how to spot the early signs that could potentially save a life.
Some early signs of sepsis shock:
• High Fever
• Headache
• Confusion/Mental decline/lethargy
• Rapid heart rate and/or breathing
• Decreased urination
• Feeling extremely ill (intense pain/weakness)
• Pale, cold, clammy skin
If you or someone you know has a weakened immune system and they have (or feel like they have) an infection of any kind, PLEASE take the infection seriously. Ask your (or their) doctor about the potential of sepsis and to consider it as part of the treatment for an infection.
(I’m sorry this is so long and I appreciate anyone who took the time to read it. I hope it has helped in anyway)
Last July in Atlanta.. Kyle Busch wasn’t NASCAR driver Kyle Busch .. he was just a proud dad..
watching his son Brexton compete in the Legends Car Series at @EchoParkSpdwy -
For any people complaining about driver appearances being cancelled, i was at Denny Hamlins at 4 pm one hour before the news on Kyle. He seemed noticeably upset and not his usual self. Now imagine trying to do autographs and act normal all weekend.
